Mild Also known as Chile Verde, the 2' tall plant  is a prolific producer of long, mild peppers.  7-8" peppers turn red when ripe. Listed as a hot pepper but this variety is fairly mild and slightly sweet.

Large pendant shaped peppers turn from green to red-brown and are used for stuffing. Called Poblano when used fresh. Origin: Mexico.  90 days

Medium

These uniquely shaped peppers are also called Bishop's Hat, Cambuci, and Nepalese Bell. Origins are believed to be from South America. Plants grow up to three feet tall and produce a good quantity of mild flavored peppers that turn red when fully ripe.

This pepper is the producer of the World's Record largest Chile ever grown!  Developed at New Mexico State Univ.  This plant is easy to grow and gives high yields of 9" - 10" peppers.  Mild-medium hot, with great flavor.  Super for stuffing or cooking!

Nuclear Hot

The Bhut Jolokia goes by many names including Naga Jolokia, Dorset Naga, and Naga Morich. This is listed in the Guiness Book as world's hottest Pepper rated at over 1,000,000 Scoville heat units!!  Originally from India where in some areas these peppers are smeared on fences to keep wild elephants at bay! Please use extreme caution when handling these as they are extremely hot. Wear rubber gloves and wash hands thoroughly to avoid "lighting up" sensitive areas. The seeds and seed membrane contain the most concentrated amounts of capsicum. Seeds can take up to 28 days to germinate and prefer temperatures 70-80F for optimal germination.

This is the national pepper of Pakistan. Deep red peppers have a strong fruity aroma.  Pods are somewhat teardrop shaped and are about 1" in diameter.  Heat can vary from mild to slightly hot.

Also known as Chicken Heart. This variety is grown by the Pennsylvania Dutch and used for pickling. Plants are 3-4 feet tall and very prolific. Peppers have a good flavor and just enough heat for a medium salsa or chile.

This is a rare and unusual East European variety originating in Hungary. This 2' tall plant has purple foilage and produces pendant shaped black peppers. 90 days

5-6” long yellow banana peppers turn red when fully ripe. Medium heat.  A medium-hot Old World favorite from in Hungary. This pepper has a waxy yellow color that becomes orange-red when ripe, but are usually harvested while yellow.  70 days.

2-3” long jalapenos are hot with a great pepper flavor. An old standby in any dish requiring some extra heat.  The Jalapeño is one of the best known peppers and is widely used for excellent flavor. Marbles is an edible ornamental pepper created by Oregon State University. Compact 12 to 18 inch plants produce heavy yields of marble-sized peppers which grow upward on the plant. Developed by Jacob B. Garber (1800-1886), a Mennonite horticulturist of Lancaster Co., PA. It was preserved for many years by the Martin family of Ephrata, PA. Known as Mordipeffer or Mordia Geelriewe by the Old Order Mennonites who grew it.  It is a relative of the Jalapeno. 3 to 3 1/2 inch peppers look like carrots as they mature to a deep orange color.  Origin:  USA
